Sharon Hamill PhDDr. Hamill joined the faculty in 1996 after serving on the faculty at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. Dr. Hamill was CSUSM Psychology Department Chair from 2005-2008. Her area of specialty is developmental psychology. Her current research focuses on (1) multigenerational family relationships and caregiving for grandparents with Alzheimer's Disease and (2) the development of personal responsiblity in adolescents and emerging adults.

Amy Dexter, PhDAmy Dexter is a lecturer in Developmental Psychology at CSU San Marcos. Dr. Dexter studies development through a cultural lens, children’s negotiation cultural practices, and resiliency. She has worked with the Youth Resiliency Program since Fall 2018.
